Was craving hot and sour soup so we ate at China Wok in Llano. Place looks small from the outside but huge and nice once you go inside. Really good food if you're ever in Llano. Cheap lunch specials also.

Now I have a reason to visit Llano once in a while!

Some of the better places I have eaten in have not been much on the outside.

How is the fishing up on the Colorado Bend area??

Too hot to fish. Plus still need to replace the fuel pump in boat.

I’ll have to try that place again. Ate there years ago and wasn’t impressed, but have heard positive reviews recently.

The Italian restaurant on the square, Gios, is good too.

That’s good to know. Their definition of hot sour spicy soup is all different. A good one is always a pleasure.

None.. And according to TBH I'm one of the weak stomach boys

Also bought some peppered pork tenderloin from Millers.. Can't stop eating it!

The best hot and sour was at the place at Palmer and Avery in north Austin. But that was years and years ago. Not sure if they're still there or not.

The general rule for Llano restuarants is.....if it's closed, it's great.

About the only exceptions are Coopers and Hacienda.

We are just about within walking distance of China Wok, but like some others said....in the past it wasn't anything special, so we never go in there.

Maybe I was lucky and went on a good day.. But they were super nice, gave us lots of food at a good price and the place was clean. Fountain drink was good also.

I'll try it again in a month or so.

One of the worst Chinese joints I ever ate at was good a month later. It can't help but be shifty, the whole business model. I just love Chinese food enough to keep trying. Pork lo mein and some good egg rolls...shooot...

If it doesn't have chicken feet, pork blood, duck or frog on the menu it's not real Chinese food.

Inmans bbq
China wok 2 best places to eat in llano.

Coopers is for the city people.

its al most as good as the Hungry Hunter with the 50 year o carpet. mmmm! would love to see that food network show restaurant impossible. hit the hungry hunter.thanks rat will try again this season.

The Dairy Queen tacos in Llano taste just like all of the other Dairy Queen tacos. They are safe to eat.

I may have to try the Chinese food place the next time I go through there.

Tommy’s mesquite fired pizza / innmans / gios all good in dat Llano hood. Will give the wok a try. I stay away from coopers when we went the best item was the beans.

Bella Sera, Jennette's Homestyle Bakery and Pizza Hut shut down, then Badu 1891. Gio's is good. I have never tried China Wok, but wife seems to like it. With high gas, it costs more to eat down the road.

China Wok is awesome! We have had it once or twice a year for 5 years on the way to Concho county. It has always been good quantities, good quality, and good service. First time I went in there I ordered the "Dragon Phenix". That dude read it back to me and said "Dragon Pe^!$". It has been a joke for years now that I ordered the dragon's weiner. That is what I get every time now too. lol

I live in Llano. It definitely is good. We eat there about 3 times a month. Never had an issue.
