Hey, don't want to put much on here. But I've been going through a nightmare of a Divorce situation for the better part of a year. I have full custody of my kids. And want to keep it that way. It should be a slam dunk case that is over with already.

I just parted with an Attorney that has exhausted my finances and left me with zero to show other than less money in my account.

Looking for somebody that will spearhead this thing and finish it. I'm in Waco area if it matters.

Bumping this. Really need to find somebody asap. No luck so far.

People I talk to that can handle it want more $ for a retainer than i make in a year. And other people either say they aren't willing to take on her families legal team, or they have too big a load right now.

Could at least use some prayers.

Porchman Law Group has “”aggressive” listed in their description and there is Cordell&Cordell that represented only men in family law. I don’t know anything about them though.

Well, since this got bumped. There's still been no resolution. What I've learned along the way:

The system is broken.
Right and Wrong is not even a thing if you have enough money.
The legal system has nothing to do with the truth or justice. It has to do with which party hires the bigger $ lawyer that judges owe favors too.

I'm going to fight until I can't breathe anymore, then come up swinging. Because that's what I do. Come hell or high water something will happen some day.

Anybody on TBH is a lawyer or contact that wants to help a single dad raising 3 kids out of an insane situation feel free to PM me.

Keep the faith friend. I know it’s hard, I’ve lived your nightmare. Couple of things i can say after living it:
Like i said, keep the faith, pray about it.
Do your best to stay positive in front of the kiddos about it.
One day you will look back & say it was tough times but worth it in the end.
I promise it does get better, i swore i would never marry again & go through that again, but an amazing woman made me reconsider. (But it did take me 15 years to do it)

I hope this helps some mentally, i know it don’t help with the here & now attorney issue.

They won't ever pay me to go away. They're deep in 6 figures from what I have seen. They are battling the divorce case, as well as a criminal case-(reason for the divorce)

I don't think the money is ever going to be an issue for them honestly. Has nothing to do with morals. They have spent that much and I have never seen even a dime to reimburse for health insurance, child support, anything.

Try and keep track of everything you can...her not seeing the kids not helping out with medical bills cs and everything you can think of.

To add to this, the fact that you have custody of your kids says a ton about your character. Someone mentioned to document things, that’s sound advice, it sounds like she is the one with the issues, (other than money), i can tell you, the judge will want the kids to be Safe, so let her do the things that don’t make sense to normal people & you document them well. I agree that the system is broke, but all you can rely on is your faith and integrity, the rest will fall in place eventually. Love them babies & make sure they know you love them.

I’m right there with you man. I’m 2 years into a divorce that is set for final trial in may. I have my kids and my soon to be ex wife on state supervision. She’s a documented many times over alcoholic and schizophrenic. The situation is terrible but I know it will end soon. We tried thru mediation but she won’t sign the papers. Mine is so nuts and ****** because I had everything premarriage and have full possession of my kids. Mine lawyered up thru a womens advocate group for domestic violence and abuse. I’ve never touched a woman that way much less my own wife. I did one time have to choke a bottle of pills out of her when she tried to kill herself on her second trip to rehab. Trust me mental hospitals, 5150s by the state, rehabs 3x this yr alone and she’s trying to say I’m the one who made her an addict because I work and take care of our kids. I love my wife more than anything in this world but when your not mentally right and you go around selling some bs story it’s like getting hit over and over in the head w a bat. I’m a solid 10k in lawyers on my side. She’s been thru 2 on her side both have dropped her. Trust me I look forward to my day in court. It will end. She hasn’t been around in 2 yrs now and see our kids maybe 5 times a year w a constable watching her. Cps was called on her. I mean you name it I’ve got it and I’m ready! Stay strong man know your not in at alone. Currently I’m sitting in Plano at childrens w my 10 yr old who’s been hospitalized for stomach issues. You got it stay in the fight you will figure it out.

Dude I hear ya. Right smack in the middle of rewriting my custodial paperwork now. I've bent over backwards for her over the 8 years we've been divorced, and now she's holding all of it over my head as a pattern of switching scheduling and stuff. I do not have primary and I wish I had fought my butt off for it. I'm by far the better, more engaged and stable parent, and she's the disneyland mom. She just moved them in with her liberal egotistical boyfriend, her 9th move in 8 years. My lawyer told me she's old enough to choose so I asked her over the weekend and she chose disney over what I can offer. It sucks, it's way better to fight your butt off now, get everything in writing, and never agree to a dang thing the other wants. Otherwise it will haunt you as it's haunted me and continues to do so. I don't have advice on a lawyer down there, but man, keep churning and keep fighting.

I love my wife more than anything in this world but when your not mentally right and you go around selling some bs story it’s like getting hit over and over in the head w a bat. I’m a solid 10k in lawyers on my side. She’s been thru 2 on her side both have dropped her. Trust me I look forward to my day in court. It will end. She hasn’t been around in 2 yrs now and see our kids maybe 5 times a year w a constable watching her. Cps was called on her. I mean you name it I’ve got it and I’m ready! Stay strong man know your not in at alone. Currently I’m sitting in Plano at childrens w my 10 yr old who’s been hospitalized for stomach issues. You got it stay in the fight you will figure it out.
