thanks , yes 45-70 gov. 405 grain . you can definitely hear the thump at contact. boar weighed 270#, surprised how small his cutters are compared to his size.

That caliber is a ham-slamming one for sure. You can crank up some great handloads for that rifle as it will take far more pressure than the original actions--
