    Lease Tanks

We went down to the lease to fill feeders this morning. Got down there around sunrise and hit some of the tanks to see if the fish were biting. Wasn’t spectacular but we caught close to 20 I’d say. This was biggest...18inches, prob around 3 lbs.

One pond had all light colored bass like that one in the pic and then another pond a couple hundred yards away had all dark markings bass.

One pond is deeper than thr other with more cover I'd reckon

Lighter fish came from bigger deeper pond.

Good times. I’ve caught some really nice bass out of farm ponds/tanks that I was given permission to fish. Some of the farmers said they didn’t know if there was anything much in them because they didn’t fish and never knew of anybody fishing them.

We fished four tanks. Three of them are smaller 1/2acre tanks but the 3rd one is about 2acres.

Muddy water bass will be lighter, planer colored, clear water they will be more colorful. At least my experience with east Texas ponds/tanks.

Cool trip to the lease. Filling feeders and fishing in July in Texas just go together as Forrest Gump would say “like peas and carrots!"

A smart man would have filled the feeders first, but them fish like to bite early!!

Less about depth and more about water clarity

                              Solid morning
