10mm pistol redo

I'm getting old and it's time for a redo.




I am building a mount to put a magnified scope on the gun. I am also changing out the slide. It previously had a red dot c-more scope and a unique engraving I did. It's been in this condition for about 10 years. I've take some good animals with it. As always I like my personal guns to be unique but am in a rut lately. What engraving, color finish would look good on this? If any?




I will be putting an aggressive rear serration on it, and want it without bright stainless parts left, but blackout is too simple. This is the scope I am thinking about using. Anyone running this? Any other recommendations?

Here is the rendering of the mount on the gun. I am also at a loss for what to do for scallop cuts in the mount. Again if any at all. My creative juices have all been used up for works product and none left over for mine.

i have always been a fan of case hardened look,,, black chrome is also very nice, maybe crescent cuts in the mount? or a waving flag?

slide for sure, and it might look real good on a black chrome frame!

I don’t think it will be necessary. It isn’t outta the possibilities though.

Finished it. Took me a lot longer than expected because I worked on a lot of other stuff instead. Went without an engraving. I like the cleaner look without. Wife bought me the scope for Christmas. Going to try and hammer some pigs next weekend at the lease with it and see what the groups are like out to 100.
