The tale of the sixy beast and Grady (the great 8)

I have at least three years history with the sixy beast buck. Wanted to catch up with him last year but an older and much wider 7pt came in range first. This year started getting pics of him in November again like the last few years- we played hide and seek the last two months as I hunted him hard. He would show up late night or once a week when I wasn’t there. Tonight with a much colder wind and temps he showed up at 4:45pm with a young 8pt I call Bambi looking off to the north and alerting me to his approaching. 23yds and my first ravin r10 kill… ran about 60 yds and piled up in sight.
And yes I realize he has more than 6pts but when I first got pics a few years ago I couldn’t see his right beam…. Only the deep fork on the left and I thought he was a 6… turns out the rascal has a few more

Grady- well, got pictures of him all summer and fall in velvet. He stayed around our little place since we had a decent stand in our food plot, and putting out plenty of alfalfa pellets, etc. had him in range three times but always something would happen- another deer would get nervous, wind shift, or just past legal shooting light. Well- in mid October he came In early with two younger bucks - 21 yds and it was over. My first buck ever on my own little piece of land…. Well, technically the bank’s land but I am paying emmm back

                        Nice work sir!

I'm on the ground with my Ravin now. Looking for my second doe.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!
