I just wanted to say how proud of my boy I am today. He done some mature things in the woods today for be 12yrs old, I think. We sat this morning on the ground next to a big pine tree, beens my kneee was killing me & he didn’t want me to climb a tree. The. The morning started with a shooter 8 point that came in, but he made the decision that he was to young & let him walk. Tem minutes later he says “ there’s a doe, no there’s 3 oh wait there’s 10 of them!!” He has the gun up scanning & im just waiting. He finally says “can I shoot her?” I look at the one he’s talking about. About that time they get spooked & she turns & looks right at us. I whisper yeah you can take her. He shoots her, she runs & as we wait before we we go look for her he says “dad I since I was shooting a doe & she’s just for the meat I tried to pick the biggest one out of the 10.” I said “well Son you did good, that’s the right way to think.” I’m very proud of my little management mind hunter.
