Default Special white wing days

Never hunted during special wing days. So if I’m reading it right I can hunt today and tomorrow in Victoria county? 15 white wings? Correct

Of the 15 birds, 2 can be mourning doves.

I'm sitting in the truck waiting on the rain to pass now, guess the weather guessers were right this time. No real surprise though, probably the easiest weather day to predict.

So if I’m reading the regs correctly you can shoot two morning doves in the zone even if you don’t have any whitewings?

I have no clue why the white wing days are only for the afternoons. Tpwd shortens the south zone season by four days to accommodate these 4 special days and they are for the afternoon only. I hope one day they will change them to all day

That was done long ago because of the RGV & the flood of GW's that come to the area...trust me, it's a big party Fri & Sat nite so they need their beauty sleep.

We were not blessed with their usual increased presence this year due to covid.

I was most excited about introducing my son to the experience with his grandpa and uncle, and injecting some testosterone in him amongst a life of video games and sisters

Off to a bad start. All I got were a white wing, a mourning, and broken shotgun.
