Hunting Blind Build with the kiddos ("The Podium")
Last Spring I spoke with Randy (Welding Teach) about a custom blind frame I'd been wanting made. He gladly took on the project and his students did an excellent job! From there, we worked on it off and on. It's a 5' x 8' with 11 windows in 'combo' orientation for rifle and archery (yes, I borrowed the design from an Atascosa I hunted out off at Lazy K ranch 
) Decided to finish it out with Smartsiding as it's easy to work with and relatively light. Slowly but surely make progress on it through the Fall working on it between soccer, baseball and softball games 
It all came together and I think it turned out great! Proud of the kiddos as they all chipped in to get it done. Pics (lots!) describe the process better. Standing it up was not to bad with the aid of a winch and some planning. Once the crossbraces and staircase ladder attached, it is SOLID.
Windows and door came from Ultramatic (site sponsor!)
