    Big enough?

Do you think he’s big enough or should I give him another year?

I’d be giving him a free ride back to camp if it were me! But I’ve never killed one.

Looks 27” to 28” to me.

              I wouldn’t feed him/them another day.
Kill him. What’s an inch or two on the wall or euro’d ?

Do you have them regularly or just occasionally? If I saw one like that, he would be headed to the taxidermist.

They are there every time the feeders dump, they even run the hogs away!

It will still gain a few inches, if no one else shoots it, but they are horrible on leases. A private ranch I used to go to to help with the whitetail doe population had a guy come in and trap 311 of them. Then told the few people that got invited down to shoot everyone they see. The meat was then given to the ranch hands. They wanted it to feed their dogs. At least that’s what the hands told us they wanted it for.

Either way, they are vacuums and will keep just about any other critter away from the feeder.

                          Big enough?

I’m thinking he’s right at 30” on short side, 12”+ on mass. There’s no space between bases on top of his head.

I’m in the 27-29” group. From the second photo it looks like he could do some more growing in the next couple of years.

If he floats your fancy sling a arrow through him!
