Cleaner then the 2072 I'm running! What size trolling motor you using on that beast? I tried a 72# model and it just laughed at that puny little motor.

It'll float... but with the high sides its a battleship to maneuver. It really don't need the tunnel as that reduces your steering arc to help turn that beast around.

Tell me about it, there was a 2003 Boatright 21' Lafitte hull in Alvin with a 140 Tohatsu for $11,000.... It's my dream tin can but I never have the money laying around when those dern hulls come up for sale.

I run a 24 Volt 75 lb minkota black max . I don’t use it a whole lot but it never seems under powered. But I also don’t use it in open water with strong wind. I usually run it in more protected areas .

That may be my problem, 95% of the time we’re in open bays and such.

Dare too dream, I keep saying the alumacraft is my “second too last boat” if I can ever find one like this

Those boatright Lafitte skiffs were not very popular and are hard to find.

Have had a few Jet Outboards.

                            1652 Blazer with a 60/40 Mercury.

                            Now I have a 1448 with a build 40/28 Johnson.

Just to get to our barge when it is low.

Here's my 1756 alumacraft with 50 Honda. I bought both new. I wish the motor was little bigger. With 3 guys and gear it is a little sluggish but it'll still run 30 mph. I'd like to sell it and get something a little bigger. It's been a great boat though.
