Wife’s mom told me she has a problem with them in her back yard. I asked if all the holes were plugged, and with a straight face she said yes but they are climbing the chain link! I about lost it [emoji1787]

My dad built this same trap 20 years ago for my brother and I to catch critters. They work great!

If I was retired and lived out in the country I would get plenty of sleep during the day and stay up late waiting for them to show up with a single shot .410

No telling how many my great grandmother killed with that method

That trap is the way to go if you are going to trap one Tim

Best trap, bar none. I’ve caught so many with mine.

Also, need to kill the food they are coming in your yard for. Most likely grubs
Will second this trap. Have built several of the same type trap and caught many over the years. Set it up next to a fence and they will go right in.

An old timer was telling me, if you catch one, and it happens to crap in the trap. Dont wash it out. Smear it in. says its the best attractant. He swears by it.

Dillers are usually pretty easy to redirect, kinda like pinball, put something up for them to bump their nose on and they change direction, use cage traps and fencing or boards like above and take them out pretty easy. Problem is whatever attracted the first one will keep attracting more. Get rid of what they wanna dig up to eat, they'll go to the neighbors yard then.

Thanks for posting the second pic as I can now see how the release works. Pretty simple contraption, I’ll probably build one as I have several living under my cabin.
