    Feeder Distance

How far do y’all set your feeder from your bow stand? I have mine at 25 yards and I was thinking about moving it to 20 or maybe even 15 yards. It’s an elevated popup. 6’ tall.

Bad mistake putting it close in my opinion
I put my blind 40 yards from my feeder
    Then corn out to 20

Depends on terrain, hunting pressure, etc. I am 17-30 yards on mine at the lease but I have 5.

I’m usually 25-30 from my feeders in bow blinds

I like close shots. My feeders are about at 16-18 to front leg. I also have two stands at each feeder. I do not hunt any of them with a bad wind. I am in Burnet county. Lots of deer density, get winded occasionally, but have also taken some pretty good deer under 15y shots. It is usually as they follow a doe in to eat during the rut.

This. They will get use to a blind. Why make your shot harder?

So with a feeder throwing corn they can be up to 50-60 yards from you. WHY?

I put a pop up on an established feeder this season. It was 25 yards to the pin and it seemed to spook the deer. I will def move it farther back next season and corn closer to me

Kind of what I was thinking. I have had two deer jump the string on me this year. First one was at 30 yards and then another at 28 yards. 2nd one I hit but she turned hard as she ducked and the blade hit her directly in the bone. My wife’s uncle shot her a week later with the broadhead buried in her shoulder.
