This boar didn’t appreciate a 3400fps 110grain Vmax to the earhole. One of the cheapest rifles I have purchased has turned out to be the most deadly (I’ve killed roughly 30 animals with this rifle in the year I’ve had it, although most were pigs).

Remington 700. It’s one of the late 90’s/early 2000’s J-lock models.

I just slapped this load together trying to get rid of IMR 3031. It’s a touch over an inch at 100.

Love my -06 and it is a tack driver. Son's is as well, but he all he can dream about is a 6.5, 308, or some other rifle that is that is articles online about it.

30-06 is My favorite cartridge. I own several calibers but love the history of the ole -06. I’ve always preferred it to the .270 win. I’ve got some handloads I’ve worked up but I have yet to have a deer take a step with a 150 grain core lokt.
