    Biggest Texas native plant

Just something to do. I'm going to post a big native Texas plant, and if you could beat it post something. Also post the other ones that you have. Such as biggest Mesquite, biggest pear bush, biggest tasajillo, biggest Live Oak, biggest hackberry, or whatever.
Mine is a persimmon. It is dying, but it is pretty big.

I wish I could get a picture of a pecan tree, I knew of yeas ago. Never seen one like that before or since. The woman who owned it, wanted it cut down. I told her I would not and recommended she not have it cut down, maybe some limbs trimmed. I don't know how tall it was, I guessed around 60' tall, but really don't know. I want to say it was around 6' in diameter.

Then I have seen some huge live oaks over the years, but not in many years. I may have some pictures of some very large, very old cedar/mountain juniper.

I don’t have any pictures but my grandparents have some huge mesquite trees near their barn.

I've lost 2 giant magnolias in the last 2 years. I still have about 20 left let me get a picture

Couple of really big burr oaks on the family place along the Red, both are survey witness trees. Here is one and a huge doug fir we came across elk hunting in western Wyoming.

I know where several live oaks are on public lands that are over 300 years old. And one cedar that I'm not sure about. But it's the biggest I've ever seen. It's in the back of a limestone draw in a river bottom

                      The old thing fell down.

Wind and soft soil because of the rain made it fall.

Not on my property, nor is it upright, but it's in my neck of the woods.

I believe it's a Cottonwood. Bike is for reference. Click image for larger version
