Awhile back I was considering buying a range finding Binoculars for primary use in Texas. Because Of some gift cards I have acquired the Vortex Fury HD. For the record I have used Swaro for the past 20 years and if I have to rifle hunt I have Zeiss scopes. This is my initial impression of the Vortex, the RF is accurate, easy to operate and read. The glass is better than I expected. Is the glass as good as Swaro, Zeiss or Leica, no it is not. Are the others 100 times better, no they are not. I do not know what glass is used in the Fury but it is better than the glass in my wife’s Vortex. I said in a previous thread if purchased I would post my impressions. Reliability and durability to be determined.
