This has served me well from popup, box stand to tripod..

There are many ways to do it - I went with a very simple solution. Using Gorilla Glue I attached a small block of 2x4 on that little shelf above each window and pre-drilled a pilot hole. Using the tree mount puts it in the perfect position

I use the bracket to clamp it to the poles on a popup and clamp it to the metal window frame! I clamp it to the top and angle it towards the open window. Been doing that for several years now.
