.....so you are suggesting there was no advantage to knowing what is coming? Every talking head in baseball says there is. Hell there are videos on ESPN covering it right now. The only folks I hear that say there is no significant advantage are Stros fans.

Once again, sign stealing isn't the issue. If I want to look into your daughter's bedroom window, but can't see it from the ground, is it OK if I get a drone to do it?

You homers keep bringing up the PED sandal to justify the electronic sign stealing/buzzer tip-off scandal.

You don't think it's beneficial to a batter to KNOW what pitch is fixing to be thrown? Maybe that should be the punishment. The pitchers from the offending teams have to tell the batter what every pitch will be for a few seasons.

Like I said before, baseball isn't for everybody, it's kinda cerebral. Arena Football is fixing to start up, or maybe Japanese wrestling would better suit you.
Again with the buzzer bull****. MLB investigators found nothing of the sort.

Just because you know what pitch is coming doesnít guarantee anything. Guys know what pitch is coming all the time because they are a student of the game but that doesnít mean theyíre going to hit a home run or get on base.

Chapman is a hurler so everyone in the entire league is sitting fastball. KNOWING it is coming, but itís still hard to hit even when you have the advantage of knowing itís coming.

Nobody said anything about guarantees?....is that really the sword you want to fall on? HOFs fail 70% of the time. Folks wash out at 80% failure. The ability to see the ball and make that decision in a split second separates the HOFs from the nobodies. A professional has won **** near half the battle when he gains that extra split second of time not having to know what the pitch is..

A student of the game doesn't help you when Verlander pulls the string against any of his tendencies. Knowing he's pulling the string before the pitch **** sure does.

The buzzer allegation was made by a lady claiming to be the niece of Carlos Beltran. The Beltran family has denied any relation to this person. Itís a hoax...

Astros will put up the same numbers as the last few years as far as hitting. Wins and losses will depend on the new coach. guys like springer, altuve, Bregman, Correa when heís healthy, yuli, Brantley, and evening the rookie phenom air yordon will still put up numbers.

The sad part is season tickets and regular tickets will go up in price and all the idiot ticket holders will pay it. I will never pay what they want for a ticket now days. The owners need to take their teams back and stop letting the agents and the players run the MLB,NFL and MBA itís the owners fault sports is the way it is today salaries are to high and they want to outbid the next guy crazy. Make the top guys 2 million a year if you want to play sign if not go get a 9-5 job owners need to take control again.

I read where MLB found a total of at least six other teams using electronic equipment to steal signs without looking very hard. Also that the League was put out by Fries going public with only the info he had on the Astros and not any of the other teams and MLB issued a league wide gag order? on this issue. Still doesn't make it right the Astros cheated.

I'm very disappointed in the Astros.

Do the different pitches have the same thermal imaging? Asking for a friend....

I'm pretty sure Beltran was the key player in this for the Astros. One year the Rangers win 17 of 19 games against the Astros, Then he comes back to play for the Astros and we win 17 out of 19 games from the Rangers.

Guessing the Astros will have to go back to the old school method of using a good pair of binocular and flash cards.

Is Bullfrog and rosin cheating? I’m guessing 100% of pitchers use it. Baseball is like all sports- win. Every team is guilty of doing whatever they can to win.

There is nothing against wearing sunscreen and rosin is readily available on the mound. I would bet you are correct. Would yíall say this is cheating ?

Haven't read most of this thread or any other threads. Seems pertty funny how since it's the team guys are fans of it makes cheating ok. Yet when the Patriots did it it was like the world was coming to the end.

I hope they pull the Astros rings and declare the 2017 season null, and void.

Awesome post. Iíve looked back at the Patriots threads. Itís exactly as youíve called it.

Itís pretty much ďeveryone cheats, get off your high horse^, oh youíre just butthurt!Ē that has become the standard line of defense. Lol!

And these same guys just cannot seem to grasp where MLB draws the line on stealing signs. The Astros crossed that line and got the hammer they deserved. If any other teams did it, they deserve that same hammer and of course that includes the Rangers.
