you gotta go with the blacktooth grin. 2 oz. of Tanqueray, 2 oz jack daniels and top off with coke.

Botanist is my go-to, but picked up a bottle of Roku recently and it's pretty good as well.

If you want some weird gin, try a German Steinhager.

I was in the gin sucked camp until I had the good stuff.

Never been a big gin drinker. But I had some Empress Gin from Canada a while back. That stuff was good and it makes cool drinks as well. Itís deep purple and as you mix it it changes drinks from purple to blue to pink, just depending what and how much you mix with it. Pretty cool stuff, and like I said, actually pretty tasty. I think it would make a cool gift, maybe not for the gin purist though.

Unless you like your gin straight as a martini or on the rocks, I would say it is almost more important to give them a good tonic, like Schweppes, to enjoy. A lot of the cheap tonics out there taste like horse pizza and you would be better off with unflavored club soda.

I like them all but prefer Botanist, Blue Sapphire, Tanqueray, or Hendricks.

Get some mason jars. Pour in some rubbing alcohol. Add a twist of lime. They'll never know the difference.

Why all the hate?
Tanqueray or Blue Safire are good. Iím partial to gin and tonic or mixed with club soda a lime. Itís a different taste, but I enjoy it.

A few years back, a buddy brought some gin and lime tonic water to the shop. Near closing time, Lindy came in and we fixed a drink. A little later, we fixed another. Lindy went home to pick the garden, as I closed shop. Two hours later, I was able to drive the 3 miles home and check on Lindy. I was worried she’d tumped. over in the garden. When I got home, she was prone on the couch. Garden unpicked. Gin will slip up on you!!!!

Because cheap gin (like beefeater) is often overpoweringly junipery, which is off putting to a lot of people (myself included).

Botanist, Monkey 47, Zyphr, Citadell, Copper & Kings, Gunpowder, etc.
Lots of good stuff out there, it just depends on what you're flavor profile is.

So I dont know much about it, but my wife bought me a texas gin, called western son gin. Was actually really smooth and almost more citrusy than juniper, but I liked it alot. Especially given the price.
Otherwise Bombay sapphire is what I'll have for gin.
