Y'all been shootin'?

I'm behind on spending time shooting my bow. I did some shooting back in April but have only had my bow out once since then. I just spent 20 minutes shooting at 40 yds. I'm not driving tacks by no means but my 40yd groups are deadly enough considering I'm rusty.

Here's some of my grouping. I'm gonna shoot as much as I can this next week to get my form more consistent to tighten up my groups. Ya'll been shooting much lately?

Enough to keep some muscle memory but not enough for me to be satisfied. Turning up the heat these last 7-8 days.

Not at all, but probably won't be bowhunting until December so have a little more time. Ideally I'd shoot all year long but just doesn't happen.

I've been trying to do about 30 shots a day at 30-40 yards.

Just shot 25 out to 30. Had been shooting 40. Took a break to have a cigar. Figure I'll shoot 10 more or so and have a refreshment

That's good shooting! I basically shoot year round, and I'm happy with a group like that at 40.

Honestly I'm pretty surprised to see so much of this on here. I have shot my bow ALMOST every single day since I bought it in April. Some days only 4 arrows, most days 10-30. Shot a 30 game near everyday through june-july. I'm no Pro but as a newbie I figured I need to shoot daily to get proficient enough that I deserve to be able to try to hunt with my bow. Definitely ready for October now.

Good deal. I only shot about 20 arrows today. I had been having some shoulder issues so I didn't want to overdo it. I'll try to shoot again tomorrow.

I put a new string on a month ago and had to make a small adjustment. Last go at 30

Shooting better than I ever have. Been practicing out to 75 yards. That is as far as I can go with my sight shooting heavy arrows. Will probably shoot a little this evening after work.

Great shooting! I was a way better shot back when I shot 3D tournaments all the time. I just don't shoot as much as I should anymore.

Wow 75 yds... I've never practiced that far out. I have a 60yd pin and will sling one occasionally at that distance but not often. 50yds is about as far as I shoot consistently. If I were getting ready for an elk hunt, I would probably shoot at longer distances.
