    Anyone still use cat whiskers?

I was told cat whiskers aren’t being made anymore so I decided to put some spare bass jig skirts to winter use [emoji12]

My shop still uses cat whiskers. They work great. Yours look good.

Do you put them on the string rather than the bus? Or both?

                I do

They’re still the most effective silencer there is.

They are still available, in every color imaginable. Just got to do a little looking.

All I will use---nothing else gives me the quietness and vibration dampening.

My cat can't walk straight and runs into walls when I take his whiskers.

All cat whiskers are is skirt material

Have not found anything better or that will last as long

I have this question also. I have monkey tails just like the OP's silencers. Two on each end of string and two on cables. Are this many needed and does it slow your bow speed dramatically? Also, the bow is a Mathews SBXT so it has the factory string stops on the end of the limbs and a bow ratter string stop in the back stabilizer hole.

I wanted leeches on the string and there is no exposed string on the cables to put them. That’s why I did it the way I did.

Yes, I've been making my own cat whiskers out of bass skirts for years. You can purchase a roll of the stuff that will last for years!

Any specific type of brand? I’m looking at getting some that are a little more durable
