If I need deer meat in the freezer then im smoking the first big doe I can shoot.

We shoot them as soon as we get a good shot, as we don’t distinguish between bucks and does during archery season.

1) often to hard to get everything right for a good shot
2) weather can change your season
3) when acorns , it’s going to be a real challenge getting multiple archery opportunities on our place.

This. I shot a doe that had a fawn once. Last time I do that.

I’m in a low population, bow only county. We don’t shoot does at all.
