What's up with VP "fuel" cans?

Was looking into buying one of the VP cans to transport gas to deer camp. Finding them online at Amazon and Lowe's but the fine print says that the cans are not to be used to transport fuel.

    What gives?

I would imagine its a liability issue.

CYA thing since it is not a "fuel" can they can put real nozzles on them with a real vent like the old school cans and get away with it. Now if you happen to use it for gasoline...

They aren't a "legal" fuel container per the law. Hasn't stopped anyone, just like most laws. They beat the heck out of any of the CARB compliant POS cans.

Once you own them you can do what you want. Look at lc2 cans. They have an extra handle on the side. I much prefer them to vp's.

I wouldn’t do it. The government agency that determined its far better to spill 63.5% on you and the ground vs evaporate .0073gr has your best interest in mind

It’s just better for Mother Earth. Trust them

These would work great for my dad’s bad shoulder. Any brick and mortars sell them?

I bought a few of these at my local polaris dealer. I know a few of the atv shops carry them.

And they are much nicer than the VP.
Also buy a few of the hose benders off Amazon to have make it easier to pour.

My dad switched to SureCan and likes them better than the VP cans he had. He runs a lawn & landscape business so they get a lot use.
