Handgun carry license Question

Can you take an online course to carry a handgun in Texas?

I thought you had to take the course (written test) in person and take the proficiency test in person.

Don't quote me for sure, but I believe you can. I know you can renew online. Shooting profiency is done online as well, you just drop back your yardage and shoot at your pc screen. [emoji1787][emoji1787]

I know you can take the class online. No idea where you take the written test.

Yep you can do the written part online and then find someone to do the shooting part.

Edit: I did my online part through Eagle Gun Range's website and printed off the results and took it to a different guy to do the shooting.

Yes there are companies that are approved to offer online LTC courses in Texas. Once you successfully complete that, you find an ltc instructor to do the required range training and qualification course.

My wife and I both completed the classroom on line and then went to the range for out proficiency portion.
