First post in a long time! LDP’s....

[Blood Trail]

Shot a decent 8 this morning in Parker County at my best friend’s dad’s place. Got in the blind at 5:30. Small little 8 came in at 7 with his bigger brother behind him.

Switched from Grim Reapers to Magnus Black Hornets this year. Grim Reapers have served me well for the past 10-12 years. Just wanted to try something different.

18 yard slightly quartering away shot. Got lungs and heart and watched that buck pile up at 20-30 yards or so. Always good to watch a deer drop.

Anyway, this deer had a layer of fat on him. Felt like I was skinning a pig or a Midwest deer. I weighed him on the hoof at 171.6 lbs. big deer for around these parts.

My first “real” post in a while. I need a happy hour to get me by till Bownaza.
