When we traveled to SA some years ago we did not hunt, but did do some photo safaris and visited some friends private game ranch with our two kids. We all love venison, nilgai and the like, but boy did we enjoy the Impala!!!! It was absolutely delicious!!!

The camp is a little more modern with LED lighting instead of gas lights this year. The water is still heated by fire. I really like the rustic bush camp atmosphere.

I think they call those water heaters "Donkeys". Just don't take a shower in the morning I hunted a ranch in Mexico in the 90s that used a similar contraption.

Time for the smoke poles already !!

Beautiful Zebra! Congrats! One of the trophies that screams Africa to me.

We had a zebra rug on our wall when I was growing up. My grandfather hunted Africa many times, and had quite a collection of trophies. The zebra definitely triggers fond memories. Congrats buddy!

It just ended for a few hours. They load shed the electricity for a few hours threw out the day and we loose cell service. Unfortunately it’s bed time now
