I have packed and repacked. Bringing two dry bags to break down gear to fit into the super cub. My outfitter met me at the Anchorage airport and took me to his hanger in Wasilla. 
I slept in his hangar apartment and the next morning , after a 1.5 bush plane flight, was inserted into camp at the base of a glacier in the river bottom of a mountain pass. 
Super cool. My guide Jim was waiting for me in camp. I was immediately struck by how beautiful and remote the camp was. I literally walk out of my tent and look up at a glacier. We could see/hear a large water fall from the glacier and that lulled me to sleep in between hunts. 
We actually used the stream from that glacier for our camp water all week.. We were WAY off the grid. We discussed a game plan for targeting our bear, talked about shot placement and keeping my wits steady when confronted by such a large animal. We had dinner hit the rack (in the bright midnight sun) and got ready for the next days hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
