Good heavy deer right there! Congrats to him, and to Pops.

How was the blood trail. Hornady black shot the best in my Grendel too but I never tested it

Didn’t really notice or look. We walked to where he was standing and saw him belly up about 50-75 yds away. He shot him low in the shoulder and it busted through both shoulders and was just under the skin on the outside of the opposite shoulder. Lungs and heart were jello.

Only gun I use. I use the Hornaday 123 sst. Daughter shot an 8 point with it last weekend. I shot a 10 point with it on Friday. One drt and other went about 20 yrds.

Every pig it's shot has dropped in its tracks.

I’m in the stand right now with 123gr ELDM’s. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to see what they do.

100 grain TTSX handloads, destroys pigs.

Had a slight quartering away shot on this guy. The 123gr ELDM Black ammo dropped him in his tracks. I was impressed.

                      6.5 Grendel Ammo for Deer

6 year old Young County buck, 123gr SST, ran about 125yds (by far the most out of 10-12 deer and 50+ pigs). Blood was nada until 30 yards in then opened up like a faucet.

                              Great look-n buck Dale!

I just snagged two more boxes of Hornady SSTs at Academy. There was a feller in front of me that got 4. So I got the last two. And I'm thankful for the two.

That gives me about 100 pieces of brass for now.
