    Help with my scope options

I'm hopelessly undecided, figured I'd let somebody else make up my mind.
I have two rifles and two scopes. I don't shoot paper except to zero so just animals for this consideration.

Rifle 1: Weatherby Vanguard 6.5 CM
    Rifle 2: Browning Hell's Canyon 300 WSM

    Scope 1: Leupold VX-L 3.5-10x50 B&C reticle
    Scope 2: Leupold VX-L 4.5-14x50 Varmint reticle

6.5 is for Antelope and WT Deer.
300 WSM is for Elk, Nilgai, and Mule Deer.

Which would you use and why? I'm thinking Scope 2 on Rifle 1 and Scope 1 on Rifle 2. What's complicating things is they're already mounted and zero'd in reverse order due to timing when I acquired them and I'm lazy.

Frankly I do not like 50 mm objectives, just too bog for me. I find heat mirage to be worse on those scopes . I do have a 4.5-14x 40 B&C reticle and I really like it. Your power ranges look great to me but again not a fan of the bigger 50mm objectives but that is only my opinion. Our hunting is from 30 minutes prior to and after sun so the 50mm is really not needed for us anyway.
My 4.5-14x40 does gather enough light for night time hog hunting though with right conditions and led flashlight.
40mm fits in my rifle case better too.

Who's on first?? Either way seems just fine to me.

Put the scope you like the best on the rifle you shoot the most

I would leave them where they are and spend more time practicing away from the bench.

That makes sense, I guess that makes for a good tiebreaker.

              Rifle 1 Scope 2
              Rifle 2 Scope 1
More bullet drop (depending on weight and distance) with 300 WSM.

                  .
That’s interesting. Can you explain how a scope gathers light?

take one out after the sun goes down, look through it and compare that view to the naked eye and it will be obvious. Some scopes are better than others at this.

That explains nothing about how a scope gathers light. I own a lot of scopes and none of them gather light. They just transmit light.
