Default Trykonroye - LIVE LANWR
We’ll work had me locked down yesterday so didn’t get to leave Pearland until 4:15.
Got to the Airbnb around 9:45. Just in time to see the Astros pull off the W.

Got situated and that 3:45 alarm came early.

Got up made a Peak Refuel Peaches & Oats and grabbed a BlackRifle ready to drink.

Left the parking spot around 5.

Bumped a cow nilgai, then a bull, then a whitetail doe. These things are HUGE!

Found a nice spot under a mesquite bush with water nearby and a grassy area.

Wind is 10-15 SSE in my face. It’s a pretty nice morning!

Update:

There are massive gators here! They will scare the day lights out of you.

I’m sorry if I Walked up on you.

Just found a cow and put a stalk on. Got within 50 yds. Shot and missed.

I think I can see another in the next clearing going to try that one!

All in all pretty good first day!

Still hunting to another big turned the corner and a bull was standing there. Could draw in time. Hunted on through some thick cover with lots of sign had a healthy WT doe.

Pics from the day!

Long day 14 hrs in the unit. Chippewas are not for hiking!

Saw lots of nilgai. 1 whitetail. Javelinas. No pigs. No snakes

Had a delicious sandwich my smokin wife made me.

Met some super cool TBHers. The GS has basically taken over LANWR.

Then a delicious Peak Refuel and shiner!

Headed back out now.

I let the rain chance get to me. Pretty good north wind. Super over cast and a little cool.

Only 3 trucks at parking spot today, me included.

Weather today is amazing. North wind, overcast, misted a little, coolness in the air.
Brought my leather gloves today. The thorns destroyed my hands. Glovers are a game changer.

Saw a cow and two calves on the way in.

Sat an opening with trails crossing through it for a while. Nothing. May go back and sit that this evening.

Got out and walked a little further in and was standing there answering a text. Looked up and a bull walked out at 20yds. Wasn’t ready and he was just over the boundary line.

Found another nice opening with good cover where I could sit and watch the trails.

It’s a beautiful day.

I just looked up and saw a white patch. It was a bull. At 70 yds. He picked me off in full camo through thick brush. Insane How eagle eye they are!
