Good for you. New Mexico has been my favorite for many years. I have spent 20 winters out there for 3 months roaming the desert for arrowheads.

There is a mine shaft a few hundred yards away and a dry creek bed just a few feet in front. I bet they had big dreams and maybe realized them.

So far only seen 4 doe and they were a mile away. Did have a fun hike and just set up camp.
