San Saba - Help with Age

I believe this is the buck we were after last year. Horns are declining of age or conditions this past year. 1st pic is of last year, if it is the same buck. Thoughts?

Impossible to age from just one pic. Wild guess 6 both of them.

Why do you say this? Most folks I know in the area let them get older. Some much older.

I dont believe that is the same deer and from the pics you have shown I think the new buck is at least 4 but could be older, hard to tell. Dont know the dynamics of where you are hunting or what yall are trying to shoot, but I would have a hard time passing that deer. He is a very solid 8 and IMO will always be an 8. He may pick up a couple inches next year or he may lose a couple inches next year...hard to tell.
