Ok I’m late to the party. I probably caught 50 but only recorded 28 as bycatch on my coyote trap line. Mb 550 & k9 extremes. My 4 coil traps would kill about half of them. All kinds of baits. I’ll keep better notes going forward

Pickings are getting a little slim or they found something in the drought they like better than corn and protein.... Only caught 5 over two nights with 12 traps on 4 feed pens.

625. One courtesy of Dukes coon traps and one courtesy of my dog Bo who gladly woke me up at 4:00 this morning with one treed. By the time I went back to get a gun the coon made a break for it and it didn’t end well for him. This gentle lap dog becomes a vicious killer in the fraction of a second. Is amazing and creepy all at the same time

How would y’all dispose of one caught in a Dukes trap without using a gun? I’m on an archery only lease this year. I’d hate to waste an arrow.

Would talk to the lease bosses about varmints. We are 98% archery only and all ours get a 22 . If no 22s allowed then maybe a pellet gun?

There are other way to dispose of them but not sure if you go about telling folks about it. Bludgeoning is another word for it …
