    Scam !

If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be Directv telling you that you are eligible for 50% off of your monthly bill it may be a scam. If they give you an 833 number to call, and the operator tells you to be eligible you must pay seven months in advance with Ebay cards it is most certainly a scam. I didn’t even know there were such cards but it didn’t pass my smell test. Checked with Directv and sure enough…..SCAM !

It is a scam for sure- I have a family member that got taken. They were pretty slick. For example when asked to prove they were actually from Directv the guy said I will activate your HBO remotely to prove it. They clicked over and enough HBO was accessible! That was proof enough and they went through with it. What they didn’t realize was that HBO came up because they were in a free trial period

If anyone asks you to pay with any kind of gift card, it is a scam. Don’t understand why people think otherwise.

                    Yep

If you can’t sign up and add a card directly, eject.

Who would actually fall for that in the first place?
