The hunter's friend posted those pics on FB (and the hunting club name). Since they already did that in a FB group with over 13,000 members, it wasn't a secret. I really didn't intend to upset you, sorry. By quoting you, I was just trying to show you that you didn't have to worry about posting the pics, because they're already out there.

I had pigs come in this close tonight. Probably would have walked right on past me but I ran them off. The two mommas were already testy as they ran off a little 1.5 year old buck. They came in at my six and left at my nine. Both directions I don’t shoot at due to houses/roads.

How come they will get this close to me while I’m standing by a fence post (my rifle rest) but can’t get them to come in range while I’m trying to stay concealed in a bow blind?

Yep. Nothing but spikes and does left. Nothing good left to shoot. Even cut down on the doe tags. I bet he came off the Tower Club. Everyone should flock that way

Caped and quartered a nice 8pt for a new hunter while ago. He’s got it about 4:00 chasing

162pounds with no fat at all. Already run down

I build this skinning rack and slab probably 10 years ago and there is absolutely no telling how many animals have hung on it. People just stop by, friends, family. Friends or friends family. Nothing extra special but nice and lighted with all ya need.... and I tend knock em out fast for them most of the time. I’ve enjoyed the animals I’ve got to see due to it as much as anything

It’s seen some giants over the years. 192 typical East Texas it’s it’s personal best... full body caped

Historically I've seen them chasing every year from opener to thanksgiving. In my area, it doesnt seem like there is a definite rut like other places I hunt.

Yea they start chasing around opening of rifle for me too just never sure when they stop.

Well I got hit with the double whammy for leasing timber company land. Power company contractors trimmed edges of power line right of way the week of October 23rd, the left it lay and mulched on Tuesday November 5th. I have a good video of the tractor mowing past my stand as I was in it.
Then I hunted this past Monday. Drive in my middle road on my four wheeler before daylight to my parking spot. I shoot a 5 point, spike on one side four on the other, take it to camp down a different road so I don't disturb my wife in her stand. When I drive back at noon down the same middle road from the morning, they were set up and cutting pines. Sure did a lot of work in a few hours.
I talked to two of the guys cutting. They are tripling, cutting about 400 acres(north half of my lease), and will be there at least a month. I asked about the roads and they're bringing in bull rock to fix ruts and mud holes. I told them I would have a list of shooting lanes I would like for them to cut for me.
It's going to be better in the long run and I'm not complaining. Just the timing sometimes.

I know it’s different in pines. I’ll chase a skidder around in hardwoods. Deer will be right behind them. They like fresh dirt. They are curious animals and can eat the browse knocked and torn down

Absolutely agree with this. Even after they trimmed the limbs on my right of way the deer were still there. I spread corn right down the middle to give them something to stop and eat and every deer that came out ate the fresh cut stuff on the ground at some point.
They cut during the week and off weekends. I plan on finding a fresh cut lane next to an oak flat and hang out a while.

I was heading up to our farm today for the last weekend of doe season. Decided to stop for an afternoon hunt at the lease and I sure am glad I did. Ended up getting this 180 lbs. 10-point at just after 5 o’clock. It’s been a tough season so far but this made it all worth it.
