Is this year going to be the worst ever for mosquitoes??

With no substantial freezes thus far or any coming. Will we see bugs and more specifically mosquitoes in record numbers this year?? It’s ridiculous home many mosquitoes I’m seeing around my house. Seems like I could nearly count the mosquitoes I’d ever seen at my place on two hands up until couple years ago. Anyone know something good to spray out here? Do mosquito traps actually work well?

I don't know about mosquitoes, but we have ticks by the millions right now.
Got hit by ball week before last.
Went straight in the house and threw all my close in the dryer.
114 ticks in the bottom of the dryer.

Bunch of mosquitos further north in areas where it stays frozen for weeks/months.

I’m not sure that it matters.

The worst I ever saw was in Alaska and Minnesota. Like south Louisiana, they have two kinds of mosquitos. Some small enough to go through a window screen, and some others that just open the door and come on in.

No is the short answer. When I was in ND, with a month of sub zeros at night, the skeeters were so big they could fornicate with a turkey.......

Mosquitos are the reason carabou migrate. Freezes don't bother them.

OP just when you think they are bad up in your neck of the woods come down here to the coast and I'll walk you out into the dark woods.. At that point you will realize what "bad" really is... It will give you a great base line to judge from..
