I learned about voting for a third party candidate by voting for Ross Perot - so I helped Bill Clinton get elected. Not what I had in mind.
From that I realized that voting third party is just saying - 'the rest of you all decide'.
There is way too much money involved to think that the system we have is going to change. I love the idea though.
You just have to pick the D or the R if you want your vote to mean anything. The whole 'lesser of 2 evils' thing just becomes more & more prevalent.
My favorite Presidential campaign sign last time was 'They Both Suck 2016'!
And I have been pleasantly surprised with President Trump.
And like him or not, he will certainly be the Lesser of 2 Evils again in 2020.

The DUMBocrats are putting up major smoke. Old Joe and son played the whole party into deflecting the real reason for an investigation. Old Joe made calls to the Ukraine, from his official office.

I've had many bosses. Some were absolute jerks.
But being a jerk doesn't necessarily mean you are bad at your job. Bad at human relations, OK.
But simply not liking someone is a pathetic excuse to lie and cheat to get him removed from his job. Especially when indicators seem to say he is one of the best, at this job.
And you'd be hard pressed to find more than a couple politicians who have hardly any of the attributes listed above.
Trump, as a billionaire, just never had to hide behind a public, more acceptable persona.
And someone please explain to me, how any person of faith, is OK with politicians who are not against abortion!
I would think that all persons of faith know that life & death are up to God, not man.

In my own case, I lived in a county for the last election that went 86% Trump, and everybody expected it to go that way. So I voted for Gary Johnson, because we'll never get better options if we keep choosing between the losers put forward by the major parties. This time we chose between a corrupt serial liar, a serial philanderer, and the pot smoking guy. No point in voting for the party line if your vote doesn't make a hill of beans difference anyway, if you think the party line isn't right.
In my book, Trump has done far better than anyone could have predicted, and I am thankful for it. My retirement accounts have certainly appreciated the last 3 years at least in part to Trump's policies.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Does Trump have ANY of that?
I get where Mitt's coming from. I'd do the same.
I voted for him to be my President not my Pastor

[QUOTE=Smart;14686185]So....he could be a little more moral and decent than Trump but don't know for sure. We are just going to gauge a career politician by the action of his fellow religious counterparts?
Voted for Cruz myself....but changed to Trump in the presidential election. Anybody but Hillary. Now with what I have seen Trump do for our country across the board, and with what Democrats openly WANT to do to our country, I'm on the Trump train. F Mitch Romney..
Yep! MAGA

There are times when I find myself wishing he would shut up and chill. When those times come I’m reminded of how often I would come unhinged over what I saw as limp wristed Republicans or RINO,s not street fighting with the socialist bastiges on the other side. Is he a saint? Are we saints? Do I want him to lie, cheat, or steal? No. Is he a Christian? Only God knows that. We didn’t elect him to be our Pastor but our president. There have been plenty of times in my own life that had Christianity been illegal there wouldn’t have been enough evidence in my life to convict me of it. Just saying.
