Earlier today I had a group of pigs at this feeder for 2 hours. I needed to move it out of the mud hole it was in. So I drove the truck close and moved it.
Got done and climbed up on the levy to see if the pig I shot the other day was gone or still there. (Coyotes devoured the whole pig). As I got up in the levy, I saw that group that was there for so long earlier today, coming down the levy towards the feeder. I hauled rear best I could to the truck. Grabbed the bow and a camo vest. Ran to the north side of the levy and started walking toward the feeder. They had dropped down on the south side of the levy and headed for the feeder. When I popped up on top, they were standing there just like in that last pic. I guessed one sow at about 35 yards. Used 30 yard pin a bit high and left to account for steady hard wind. You see the entry in the photo. She made it about 75 yards.
Piglets were confused and didn’t know to go. They got in a little pile at about 30 yards. So I just winged one into the pile. Worked out ok.
Nice, short hunt.
