on things like this the first thing i do is try to locate a physical address,, if none is listed, move along! If an address is given, google map the location and look at the building from street view,,, if none, move along!
do they have a phone number? does that # check out... and how is it answered, like a business or someone's home?

I do it a lot simpler. If they don’t take credit cards I don’t do business with them.
