    Great question.

Pitcher: Nolan Ryan. After all, my son is named after him. I feel like I was too young to appreciate him when he played, since I was born in 87. My appreciation grew as I got older and understood all the things he was about.

Hitter: I'm going with Josh Hamilton. 2010 was absolutely an unbelievable year and I'll never forget the 28 home runs in the first round of the home run derby, including one that left Yankee Stadium.

Catcher: Pudge. Arguably the best catcher that ever lived. Unquestionably in the top 3. He had the best arm in the game and I am glad that I was able to witness all those pick off's and lasers catching would-be base stealers.

All around...growing up and watching the Rangers was quite an experience. at 4 years old I knew every single ranger, their number and position. Baseball was and still is my favorite sport. The game will teach you a lot about life.

Pitcher: I enjoyed the knuckleballers. Wakefield and Dickey. Even they barely knew where it was going.

Hitter: I'm blown away with what Altuve can do given that the man is 5'5'' tall.

Catcher: Yadi Molina and Benito Santiago. Both incredible.

Overall I go with Adrian Beltre. He was a great player who had a lot of fun with the game.

I new the Nolan Ryan would be the top pick and justifiably so. But Maddox was like watching a surgeon on the mound. His precision and ability to keep that ball an inch off the plate and get the call impressed me. Ryan overpowered batters like Randy Johnson. I liked watching them all.

Willie Mays in the outfield was a thing of beauty. Boog Powell at 3rd was good too.

I could make that list a mile long.

Mays, Clemente, Drysdale, Feller, Dimagio, Ted Williams, Yaz, Koufax....it would be nearly endless.

I've always been a homer. Three HOFers that I grew up cheering for.

Those were back in the hay day of baseball. My dad played semi-pro baseball back in the 50's, so I grew up watching with him on Sunday's in the 60's. Here is a link to the team my dad played for before I was born.
