Good time to hunt Axis? Diamond C?

When is the best time of year to kill a trophy axis buck? Also, how big are the axis at Diamond C??

My biggest axis was on the hit list...and last week he dropped his antlers...he is eating a shovel full of cotton seed every night and he is gonna be the real deal with this next set, I havent been able to find his sheds so far..too much grass. 10 years ago I saw an axis on the Baker Ranch that was REALLY nice..good luck with your quest on Diamond C
