    Arkansas vacation ?'s

Thinking about going on vacation last of October to November. Maybe heading up to northern Arkansas, maybe do a little trout fishing. Are there any places thats good for family and fishing? I'll have my wife and 3yr old daughter also. Was hoping to get a little trout fishing in a stream or something. Not really set on Arkansas, so if theres another place thats better I'm all ears.

Beaver lake area and the beaver dam are nice. You can book a trout guide out of the dam store for cheap. Area lodging is decent but mostly outdated lots to do in Eureka Springs too. Branson isn’t far and there is allot more to do and better trout fishing

    Fun times

Try Roaring River State Park in Southern Mo. You won't regret it. Stocked trout fishing. Easy for kids to fish. Lodge in the park will cook up your fresh trout for you. Daily Fishing licenses and trout tags bought in the park. Bait store. Nature trails. Camping areas primitive or full hook up. Am 51 now been going since I was 5 or so and now take my kids. You'll come home with a cooler full. Only a little over an hour to Branson too.

Do yall stay at the lodge there in the park? I can't find pics of the cabins or prices anywhere.

Check out Ozark trout resort on Lake Taneycomo for trout. Catch all the trout you want off the docks and have Branson to spend your time off the lake. Ozark trout resort has very good prices on rooms, with a nice covered fishing dock. Guide Bill Babler recently caught the new state record brown trout on a pink power worm, little over 40lbs.

I was just saying that Mom and little one might want to do something besides fish the entire time. It was a 'family' vacation after all. Just a suggestion.

I’ve never been fishing there but was told that Greer’s Ferry Lake near Clinton has some of the best walleye fishing in the south.

I concur on all points, especially the cornbreadhell part

Haven't been in a while but roaring river sp use to have some very reasonable/clean cabins.
