Saw something on social media just now about him passing. Anyone know any more info? I always liked him, and his never-give-up attitude. RIP

I met him at Shot Show a couple of times. The first time that I visited with him, thought he was a smart --- Yankee. The next year seemed much easier going and the last time I saw him he was in a wheelchair and just proud to be there. Rest his soul, hate to loose the good ones.

Yes, the other thread on here has a post from Tread's manager that he was killed as a result of a car accident in Canada.

I used to watch his shows all the time, years ago. Always seemed to have a great attitude towards life.

I bought a fly reel from him on eBay a few years ago. Was a nice guy to deal with. Seemed a lot more mellowed out then than he was when he first came out on TV. Hated to see him end up in the wheelchair, but he never quit getting after it. RIP, Tred.
