From what I've read, Colorado's OTC hunt units are completely overcrowded, and the pressure is unnatural, but still a chance at success. If I were seriously planning to go western hunting, I'd try to draw each year in a couple states and if unsuccessful, buy the OTC in Colorado and/or other states.

I hunted 36&37 for mule deer last year on a guided hunt. Never saw a mulie but saw more elk than we could count.

How did you hunt 36 and 37? Different tag units…with a hwy dividing them

It’s not. All databases are only as good as the inputs. He messed up on filter options.

I was drawn for mule deer rifle in 2B and the next year 2B archery for Elk, so you never know. Its been dry for me the past two years. I have been applying for at least 10 years and have been drawn 3 times.

You can’t sept or Jan for sure. I hunt them. Oct rifle tags I’m 99% they are divided also

Maybe we weren’t. Idk. But one thing I do know is that guide was full of ****. By the end of the hunt I named him “Big Fish” everything that came out of his mouth was crap.
