I’m seeing a LOT more acorns on the trees this year than the last two. I’m guessing with the drought oak trees are in propagation mode?
I’m glad, actually. Maybe we won’t have to run as much corn as last year, at least earlier in the season.
I got a second spot on my lease this year due to an unexpected opening, so I’m very excited. This means I may have a crack at a second buck this year!

The lease is pretty typical from what I’ve seen so far in East TX. Individual areas with a couple blinds for each area. Seems to be plenty of room between spots. I’ve already got some good buck pics from my spot. Of course that is bound to change between now and the season.
