    Now you're speaking my language!

I had a 76 in high school. Loved that truck. One of my parental figures sold it out from under me when I was in the Marines.

He turns 16 next month so he’s motivated to get the things he wanted done completed. Still have to order the door panels for the interior and get the back brakes done. He wants/needs a paint job, but that’s going to have to wait for a bit. For now we may just buff it out and see what it looks like.

Whelp Joe is out of town this weekend. Since he turns 16 next month, I told him I’d work on it this weekend so we don’t lose time.

Started the morning finishing up painting the rest of the trim.

Got the carpet in for a dry fit. I’ll wait for him to get home tomorrow so I’ll have another set of hands for adjustments before making cuts.

I screwed up when I and ordered the wrong LED dome light, so to make it easier, I ordered a new wiring harness to fit it. It came in today so I got it taken care of today as well.

The steering wheels from the early 90s Chevys will bolt right up, if they are still available. Up to '94.

He likes this one, but wants to stain the walnut to be darker

Very cool! And he's learning to do something that is in high demand - automobile mechanics and restoration.

He got one of the door panels on today. Wood on the center console has been sanded and stained, but still need to clear coat. I’m picking up the steering wheel from Summit tomorrow. It’s bare walnut, so he wants to stain it to match the console. Gotta figure out the best way to mask off the metal. Will post updated pics this weekend.
