We have been lucky to this point and have gotten a decent amount of rain!! 3” since February.

Bad black brush took a blow! Freeze killed all sustained brush then it hasn’t rained again for new growth to get some help

Dang I would have thought the melted snow would have helped the brush come back.

On our place the mesquite is really green and looks like a bumper crop of beans. All the other brush is spotty hopefully it will come back.

Still really dry on our place. Some of the under brush is nice and green but nothing like we have seen in previous years.

Hwy 2 south on NL. About 20 miles.

My cactus and mesquites at home look like they were fertilized and jump started with steroids, everything else looks dead. Weird how that cold weather worked, I imagine a really good rain would make Us feel like dancing

And no relief in sigh, worst nightmare for a place with no natural water and extremely limited supplemented water [emoji22]

I’m not sure how our place still has a living creature on it!
We are in year 4 on the ranch, and have had about 2 good rains in 4 years. No grass in the past 2, and that freeze hammered what was left of the brush.

We like the ranch and owners, but can’t catch a break with the rainfall.
