So, I'm a total novice at the white bass run. Say I have a river I know they will be running in soon, and I want to go check it out this afternoon. Do I fish the deep pools? Cut banks? What type of water am I looking for?

            I like beavers.

No push pole today. I just never let off the throttle. Shouldn't these piles be under water?

When I used to do it I used to fish on the backside of the Eddie's in the deeper pools. Just follow the crowds

Look for a deeper hole downstream of a shallow bar. Depth change doesn't have to be much. But the shallower the bar, the better.

Yesterday was Groundhog Day. He said we gonna have a early spring. So I'm a guess-n that means an early run on the sandies too.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kilt. Gotta go!
