Question, does this generation of pro athletes respond well to authoritarian management? Good luck with bani rooster...

Here's an interesting, and surprisingly insightful take on the "scandal" from comedian Bill Burr. It's about 18 minutes but it's funny and thought provoking (it's also full of expletives, which is classic Bill Burr LOL).

Lmao.

Sure, Astros pitchers are just going to let other teams head hunt without retaliating.

And the Astros will still own the Yankees.

Mark Kotsay from the Aís interviewed. Gaining a lot of steam as a top candidate. Young, well respected in the game, has grown up in the Aís analytically driven system similar to the stros. Iím more on board with a younger guy vs the older guy to steady the ship type manager.

If this is the choice itís not horrible. He can be a calming and steady voice in all the turmoil. Let the rest of the assistants and coaches continue to push the analytical side. A small stop gap until they find the next Hinch

That sounds like they just wanted a steady hand at the wheel, while they groom someone for next year, or buy time to find the long term guy. I can't see that club not employing extreme shifts, and analytical strategy.

I like the choice if it bears true... very few people (especially those managing) have succeeded through more trying times than Baker has

I think he may be just what they need to get them through the trials that have yet to begin for the team and individuals

Good read about Dusty;

Face saving, and experience. Dusty is a very experienced, old school baseball man, who is HIGHLY respected around the game. He will know how to handle a lot of the odd issues they will face on the road due to the cheating scandal.
