7 year old male lacy needs a home

I hate to make this post. Our 7 year old male lacy needs a new home. Third baby is due in a month and the wife has put her foot down.

My wife got Stanley from Magnum Blue Lacy Dogs in El Dorado, Tx. He was born Feb 12, 2012. He was great when she was single and had a lot of time to devote to him. Since we got married and had kids he just needs more time that we can't devote to him. He needs land to run and things to chase. He's killed everything he's had a chance to kill and loves to be active. So much so that he was going too fast on a hike and went over a 3 story cliff up here in NW Arkansas in 2014. He broke his patella and had it fixed by a specialist in Jenks OK. He's fully recovered and you'd never know it happened by the way he acts.

He has been neutered and is afraid of thunderstorms. He doesn't have any bad habits, doesn't chew on furniture etc. He is house broken and for the most part listens to commands and wants to please us. (unless there is a squirrel that has caught his eye) He doesn't want anything to do with children, doesn't hate them but doesn't want to play with them either. He's never bit anyone.

He'd be a great dog for who someone has more space. He loves to catch a Frisbee and any kind of fetch. I hate to do it and I feel crummy for it, never given up a dog in my life. Hopefully someone here needs a good dog and can provide him some adventure.

Bump for Stanley....anyone interested? He is the Lance Armstrong of the dog world. He's got another 10 years in him at least!

Bump for you. My wife made me get rid of a dog once. I should have re-homed her cause she is still a wack job.....I'm sure the dog is still great.

Thanks man. He’s a great dog, really is. He just wants to hunt and land to run on. It isn’t his fault.

How is Stanley with other dogs? Is he gun shy? Will he humor older bigger dog? Can he ride in the bed of a truck?

I hope to help Stanley find a home Glocker.

Such a great looking dog! Afraid he might see my chihuahua as a little white rabbit though.....

My intact male is also 7. He's scared of kids so we lock him up when the grandkids come over. I hate to hear of dogs being re-homed because personal situations have changed, but if Glocker is not good with kids, this is probably best.

              Good luck!

7 years old is about the time Ive seen and heard about Lacys settling down. From what Ive seen...Lacys... generally speaking overall...are fairly indifferent to people other than their core few grown folk.

I love dogs. Laceys are beautiful. I would love to have him, but I have 5 JR, with a fresh litter on the ground.

Someone will pick him up and have a wonderful dog.

                    You have 5 jack Russell’s?
I have one and it’s a full time job!!!
                    Wouldn’t trade her though.

Sorry for the delay and thanks for the interest. Stanley is fine with my bigger boxer. He thinks he’s alpha but if another dog tries him stanley backs down quickly. I’d imagine he is gun shy, as he hates fireworks and thunder. He rides in the back of my truck but I’ve always had a short leash on him. He’d probably be fine.
